How it works

Never booked an at-home massage? Here’s roughly how it works.

Feeling nervous because you don’t know exactly what to expect? That’s very understandable — and absolutely fine.

Below is roughly how an appointment runs. No waiting room, no rituals around the massage. Calm, preparation, and clear steps.

  1. 1.

    Beforehand

Together we briefly discuss which massage you want to book and whether there’s anything useful to know in advance. This happens via WhatsApp — you tell me what you’re looking for (duration, preferred date, anything you’d like attention for), and I reply calmly and clearly.

Before I confirm the appointment, I ask you to fill out a short medical questionnaire. That helps me check if there are any specifics (allergies, medication, recent surgeries, sensitive areas, wounds) and whether the treatment is safe and appropriate for you. What you share stays strictly confidential — used only to prepare your session well.

I’ll also ask a few practical things: which floor you live on, whether there’s a lift, and what the parking situation looks like. That helps me get the massage table and supplies up calmly.

For your first appointment I ask a 50% deposit via payment request. That helps me plan my time and preparation. For follow-up appointments I do not ask a deposit.

  2. 2.

    On arrival

I arrive calmly, on time. I set up the massage table and we briefly go over what you need at this moment.

Before we start, you fill out a short paper intake form. On a body diagram you mark where you feel tension or sensitivity — that way I know in advance what you need without us having to talk about it during the massage.

  3. 3.

    During the massage

The massage takes place in a warm, quiet room in your home. I work calmly, professionally, and attuned to what your body needs. Pressure adjusts to what your body allows — not to what you "should" tolerate.

I use hypoallergenic massage oil without fragrance. Towel-coverage works well for most massages; if you’d rather keep your bra on, that’s fine — I’ll work around it.

During a 60- or 90-minute session you can ask for a 30-minute extension (€50). I’ll see on the spot whether the schedule allows it — never guaranteed, sometimes possible. For 120-minute sessions, extension isn’t available.

  4. 4.

    Afterward

After the massage you have time to come back to yourself calmly and get dressed. I clear away the table and materials while you land.

You receive an aftercare card with practical guidance — water, warmth, calm movement, what your body may feel in the hours or day afterward. Payment of the remainder happens right after the session via payment request, bank transfer, or cash.

  5. 5.

    What’s helpful to have ready?

To support a calm atmosphere we need a heated room in your home:

    • with enough space for the massage table (about 1.90 m × 0.75 m) and room to walk around it — count on a room of at least 2.50 m × 2.50 m
    • where no one else is (if possible)
    • where it’s quiet (if possible)
    • with a power outlet nearby
    • with a small table or surface to put things on

It’s also helpful that you’re showered/freshened before the start, that you haven’t had a heavy meal right before, and that the room is safe (think guard dogs, for instance).

Your home or yourself don’t need to be perfect. It’s not about perfection — it’s about your rest.

Personal

Each session attuned to you

No two sessions are alike. What helped a week ago may not fit today — so each appointment is attuned to what you need that day.

  • Areas you do or don’t want touched. Some women don’t like attention on their legs; others want extra work on the neck. Both work. On the body diagram you mark your preference.
  • Pressure attuned to your moment. Light, medium, or firm — and you can ask for adjustment at any time during the massage.
  • Hypoallergenic, fragrance-free oil. Suitable for most sensitive skin types. Specific allergy or preference? I’ll attune to it.
  • Bra optional. Most massages work well with towel-coverage, but if you’d rather keep your bra on, I’ll work around it.
  • Medical specifics. Wounds, recent surgeries, allergies, medication, pregnancy — note them in the medical questionnaire and I’ll take them into account.
  • Silence or conversation. Indicate your preference — and know it can change during the session.

Before your first appointment I ask you to fill out a short medical questionnaire. That helps me see in advance if there are any specifics — and whether the treatment is safe and appropriate for you.

When you’re unwell: let’s reschedule

Fever, flu, a cold, or an acute infection on the day of the appointment? We reschedule — for your recovery, my health, and that of other clients.

I work in an enclosed space for 60–120 minutes; with even a mild cold, postponing is the calmest choice for everyone. Send a message as soon as you know — we’ll find a new moment, and any deposit moves with it.

First appointment? Or still hesitating? Read this.

No worries — neither you nor your home need to be perfect.

  • ·Not tidied up? No problem.
  • ·Legs not shaved? Doesn’t matter.
  • ·Children or pets at home? It’s fine.
  • ·Nails or hair not done?
  • ·Self-conscious about your body?
  • ·Worried you won’t be able to relax?
  • ·Find it a bit unsettling to have someone over?

All very understandable, and all completely fine. This moment is here for your rest, and nothing else. Allow yourself to put aside your worries or the urge to be productive — that way the massage can do its work, and you’ll be glad you did.

Before you know it you’ll be recharged to tackle your to-do list, or even more ready to switch into "doing nothing" mode. We do everything at your pace.

And of course you’ll receive all the necessary information once you book your appointment.

We bring rest that stays with you.

Send a message anytime if you’re hesitating about anything or want to ask something.

Silence and conversation

"Some women like to talk during the massage, others prefer silence. Both are welcome — there’s no need to make conversation if you don’t want to."

Silence is an equal option, not the default. And your preference may change during the session.
